I forgot to mention last week that Vosegus and Verbeia would be the final post for the Celtic Mythology ABCs. I will be moving on to Angel’s next, a subject that I spent last year learning a great deal about during my study of the Witch’s Qabbalah. Let’s get started with Ariel….
Archangel Ariel has appeared in Coptic, apocryphal, and mystical Judeo-Christian writings as both an overseer of nature and the regulator of the underworld. In the latter role, Ariel takes on the fierce presence of punishing those who transgress into darkness.
Ariel is a healing angel who works closely with Archangel Raphael, especially when it comes to helping birds, fish, and other animals.
Archangel Ariel is believed to be a leader of the Virtues choir of angels—those who govern the order of the physical universe, watching over the sun, moon, stars, and all of the planets, including Earth. For this reason, Ariel is intimately involved in environmentalism. If you feel called to work in fields protective of the earth’s ecology, oceans, air quality, or animals, then Ariel can help you. This aspect of Ariel is especially calling to me at this particular time, with all the environmental concerns I have.
As the angel of our planet’s natural resources, Ariel ensures the proper treatment of people and animals as part of her mission. So she works to ensure that there’s enough healthful food, clean water, proper shelter, and other necessary supplies. Therefore, you can ask Ariel to help you in meeting your earthly needs.
Ariel can also help you interact with nature comfortably and safely. She’s a wonderful angel to call upon when hiking or camping. The archangel Ariel will also introduce you to the nonphysical side of nature as well, if you’ll ask for her assistance. If you’ve always wanted to connect with the fairies or other elementals, seek out Ariel as your guide. She’ll help you navigate through the nature spirit realm so that you’ll meet the benevolent being who populate gardens, parks, flowers, trees, and bodies of water.
